Water Moccasin Cottonmouth at Pond
snakecam dateline: Sunday, September 25, 2005 at 5PM
I found another Water Moccasin snake by the pond. It was almost 4 feet long! (44.5 inches to be exact) I was carrying my 20-gauge shotgun with me because I have seen a number of Water Moccasin Cottonmouth snakes at the pond near the deer feeder this summer. The snakes have been active in Southern Louisiana all summer. I've seen more snakes this year than in prevoius years.
The whitetail deer activity is at an all-time high also this year. We have seen more deer and specificly more bucks than in previous years. We should have a very good deer hunting season this fall.
