Pregnant Whitetail Doe Behavior

Question: Does a white tailed deer stray from the others when she is pregnant?

Answer: Nope, pregnant whitetail does stay with the herd. They generally don't go alone any more than a non-pregnant whitetail doe. In fact, below you see a picture of a very pregnant Whitetail doe from Kentwood, Louisiana in the spring of 2005. This very pregnant doe was running with a large group of deer. This doe is so pregnant that she looks to have very short legs!
