Giraffe - Giraffa camelopardalis
Giraffes (Giraffa camelopardalis) have very long necks, long legs and a grid-like reticulated pattern on their hides. The giraffe is the tallest of all land-living animal species. Giraffes are African even-toed ungulate mammals. The record-sized giraffe bull was 19.2 feet tall and weighed approximately 4,400 lbs.
This giraffe is on display at the Global Wildlife Center in Folsom, Louisiana.
